Suspicious Fire Johnstown, Carmarthen

On Friday the 31st of December 2010, at approximately 9.35pm, Carmarthen Police and the Mid and West Wales Fire Brigade attended a house fire in Llanstephan Road, Johnstown, Carmarthen.

The fire is being treated as suspicious. No-one was injured in the fire.

Significant enquiries have resulted in three persons being arrested and subsequently charged with Arson, theft and Burglary.

A 23 year old male was charged with arson, theft and burglary and appeared before Llanelli Magistrates court on Monday the 3rd of January 2011. He was remanded in custody.

A 21 year old female has been charged with arson and appeared before Llanelli Magistrates court on Monday the 3rd of January 2011. She was released on bail.

A 17 year old male has been charged with arson and bailed with conditions to appear at Carmarthen Magistrates Court on the 26th January 2011.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area before 9.35pm on the 31/12/10 or anyone who has information which could help the investigation is asked to contact police on 101 or the Independent Crimestoppers Charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
