Commenting on figures showing a drop in Wales’ construction output by 4.2% over the last 12 months compared to a rise in UK output over the same period of 2.9%, Darren Millar AM, Shadow Minister for the Economy, said:
“These are disappointing figures showing how the rest of the UK is outperforming Wales in a major sector of the economy, upon which thousands of Welsh jobs depend.
“Labour-Plaid Ministers need to address their failings and deliver a clear strategy to encourage entrepreneurship, help businesses to expand and boost prosperity in Wales.”
