Commenting on figures showing that almost 330,000 people in Wales are waiting for NHS treatment, Nick Ramsay AM, Shadow Minister for Health and Social Services, said:
“It is an indictment of Labour-Plaid’s mismanagement of the NHS that one in nine people in Wales are waiting for hospital treatment.
“Ministers are still failing to meet their pledge that no patient should wait longer than 26 weeks for treatment. NHS patients across Wales deserve better.
“These figures show that now is not the time for Labour-Plaid to be slashing the NHS budget by £1billion over the next three years. Welsh Conservatives are the only party committed to protecting the NHS budget.”
