A conference to discuss carbon emissions, and their effect on how we live, will be held at Plas Tan y Bwlch, Maentwrog on Tuesday, 18 January 2011.
The event is organised by the Gwynedd Environmental Partnership as part of the Gwynedd Local Services Board’s Carbon Footprint Reduction Plan.
The aim of the event is to see how the community sector can contribute towards carbon reduction by looking at changes to our way of life which are already proving successful, thinking of new ways to do things and prioritising work to cope with the environmental challenges.
The keynote speaker will be Iolo ap Dafydd, BBC Wales’ environment and rural affairs correspondent. Other speakers include Gareth Wyn Jones, Emeritus Professor at Bangor University; Dilwyn Williams, Corporate Director at Gwynedd Council and Huw Davies, Chairman of the Gwynedd Environmental Partnership.
