Commenting on recently released Ambulance performance figures for Wales, Angela Burns AM Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire said:
“These figures re-iterate the need for keeping good A&E facilities in strategic areas within Wales and that rural areas do not end up becoming a liability in terms of emergency ambulance services. Wales has missed the 60% target which is concerning and when put into context of the geographic area covered by Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire only highlights the importance of retaining these A&E centres.
The Labour/Plaid administration need to address service level provision in these challenging times.
