Clwyd West MP, David Jones, has welcomed news that two Ruthin-based groups have benefitted from Big Lottery Fund (BIG) awards.
Ruthin Show Society is to receive £4,942 and 1st Ruthin Brynbach Scout Group £3,529.
David Jones said:
“I am very pleased to see two important local organisations receiving funding from BIG. Ruthin Show Society does a tremendous job organising one of the summer’s most important community events and the Scout Group plays a significant role in developing character, self-reliance and citizenship among young people.
“The awards underline the success of the National Lottery in providing much-needed funding for voluntary groups the length and breadth of the country.”
