Heart rates will be pulsing this month as Cardiff Council shows its gratitude with a special fitness offer to all its members of the Frozen for Life scheme.
The offer aims to show a hearty thank you to those members of the city’s leisure facilities who have already signed up to the committed membership scheme.
Each member will be given a free pass so they can bring a friend to one of the 12 leisure facilities absolutely free.
The Frozen for Life initiative offers people the opportunity to commit to paying the same price for their Active Leisure membership for as long as they remain members of the scheme.
By becoming a committed member, the Council is guaranteeing that the price will never increase and will remain the same every single year.
The promotion aims to reward both loyal and new customers by promising that their membership rate will remain the same every month from the day they sign up.
The initiative offers value for money to people who enjoy sport and leisure activities and can be up to 17 per cent cheaper than paying as you go for uncommitted users of the facilities.
The Active Card scheme offers great value for money for those wanting to get fit and improve their health and wellbeing, allowing access to 12 Council leisure facilities throughout the city which boast amenities such as gyms, swimming pools, fitness classes, racquet sports, athletics and cycling.
The scheme is a simple way of paying for leisure and saving money.
Many Council leisure facilities have undergone refurbishment recently, transforming centres into light, contemporary environments accessible to all members of the public. With all the very latest exercise equipment available, a team of highly qualified and experienced staff at each site will ensure everyone is given the support they need while they keep fit.
Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Nigel Howells, said: “This February promotion is to say thanks to all our committed members who have already signed up to the Frozen For Life scheme.
“It is to show that we are committed to giving our members excellent value for money and thank them for their loyalty.
“This Hearty Thank You promotion coincides with Valentine’s Day so I encourage all our committed members to take up the offer and bring a gym buddy down to one of the city’s fantastic leisure facilities”.
The Hearty Thank You promotion runs from February 7 -15 and is valid for one admission to a group adult fitness session.
