A jobfair will be taking place at Cardiff Central Library tomorrow (Thursday, February 3) with more than 500 call and contact centre vacancies on offer.
Six key employers will be based at the jobs fair, each giving presentations on their own organisations and the industry as a whole.
The six employers are:
- Admiral
- British Gas
- Tesco Customer Care Centre
- Conduit
- AA Insurance/Driving School Contact Centre
- Scottish & Southern Energy
The council’s Local Training and Enterprise team will also be on hand, offering support and advice and anyone currently out of work is urged to come and see what is on offer.
The jobs fair, which will run from 10am to 3pm at the library on the Hayes, is a joint venture between Jobcentre Plus and Cardiff Council.
Councillor Neil McEvoy, Deputy Leader of Cardiff Council and Executive Member for Economic Development, said: “The jobs fair at Cardiff Central Library will be showcasing jobs in the world’s fastest growing industry and is going to provide opportunities for everyone at all levels.
“This Council is continuing to work hard, during these difficult economic times, with local communities to promote job opportunities for local people and as the Executive Member for Economic Development I am making sure that Cardiff Council is pro-active and we are doing everything we can help people get back to work.”
