Cwm Las Fields in Llanbradach will receive a welcome facelift after being awarded £22,751.44 from the Welsh Government.
Cwm Las will use the money from the Community Facilities and Activities Programme (CFAP) to kit out and refurbish donated welfare units into a community facility. The funding will be awarded subject to a long-term lease being agreed at the site.
Jeff Cuthbert AM congratulated volunteers and users of Cwm Las Fields which is one of 16 projects across Wales to share around £3 million over three financial years.
Jeff said: “I’m delighted that it looks like Cwm Las is going to receive this money, and I know it will be put to good use.
“The funding when it is awarded will be is a boost for community life and the local economy during difficult times.”
“It is important organisations at grass roots level are given this funding as they play such a valued role in society.”
