Fire crews are in attendance at a fire in a building on Shotton Lane, Shotton. North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident at 4.11am this morning (Friday 4th February).
Firefighters from Deeside, Flint, Mold, Rhyl, Holywell and Wrexham are present at the fire and residents who live near the incident have been evacuated to Deeside Leisure Centre due to large volumes of smoke.
Crews are still in attendance at this incident and more details will be available later this morning.
North Wales Police Superintendent Dave Owens is currently at the scene working with a number of Police Officers and are assisting the North Wales Fire Service with the evacuation of local residents.
A joint Fire and Police investigation has commenced to establish the cause of the fire.
There are no reported injuries at this stage.
