News is reaching us at Welsh Icons that many of the popular social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook are experiencing problems at the moment.
No, it is not just you and it is not just Wales, this looks like a global problem.
Happily this blog and our sister site at http://www.welshicons.org appear to be running normally.
My guess is that it is some sort of distributed denial of service attack (DDoS), or just that when Twitter went down everyone started ‘hitting’ Facebook looking for information.
I’ll keep you posted.
