As a result of the post mortem and further enquiries, Gwent Police is now treating the death of Nikitta Grender as suspicious and has begun a murder enquiry.
Gwent Police and the Fire Service were called at approximately 8am yesterday morning (Saturday February 5th, 2011), to an address in Broadmead Park, Newport where they discovered the body of 19 year old Nikitta who was heavily pregnant at the time of her death.
Forensic investigations and house to house enquiries are continuing at this time and specially trained officers continue to support the family.
