A vote on the Local Development Plan, which was due to be taken in April, has been put back while responses to an additional consultation on the possible impact of development on the Welsh language are compiled and taken into consideration.
Denbighshire has produced a detailed report which focuses on ways of minimising the impacts and maximising the benefits to the Welsh language and culture from development proposed at Bodelwyddan.
The report is now out for consultation and the extra time will allow officers more time to collate all the responses to give them due consideration and to feed those back into the final report.
Copies of the Community Linguistic Impact Assessment are available at all libraries, one stop shops in Denbighshire and on the Council’s website.
