This Wednesday, 9 February, Communities First Higher Shotton will start a weekly community drop-in session at the John Summers Community Campus.
The drop-in sessions will run every Wednesday from 10am until 3pm and are for local people to access free and confidential advice on a range of topics including:
- help finding employment, and with CV and job application writing
- advice about finance and benefits
- help and advice on parenting for families
- help with maths and English, or other basic skills
Available on the day will be youth workers from John Summers High School, a school nurse, and family and relationship guidance. Tea and coffee will be available.
From Thursday 17 February, the All Flintshire Credit Union and the Higher Shotton Food Coop will also be relocating to the John Summers Community Campus.
Communities First Higher Shotton are working in partnership with Job Centre Plus, Deeside College, John Summer High School, Higher Shotton Tenants and Residents Association and the Community Campus.
