Rosie takes a trip to her local library

A Tenby adventuress, who made the headlines by running around the world, made a shorter trip recently to her local library.

Rosie Swale Pope visited Tenby Library to give a talk about her exploits as part of Welsh Libraries Festival Week – 20th to 30th January.

The Tenby based explorer described her journey around the world and her many adventures en route.

She also paid tribute to her local library, which she said had been a great inspiration to her and provided much useful information for her  trips.

Welsh Libraries Festival Week aims to raise awareness of what libraries have to offer and to challenge people to ‘try something new at their local library’.

During the recent event a new online resource BYKI (Before You Know It) was launched. This offers users the opportunity to learn one of 80 different languages online and at their own pace! For more details go to: www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk
