Deadline for Referendum Voter Registration Approaches

The deadline to be included on the Electoral Register for the Welsh Assembly Referendum is 5pm on Wednesday 16 February.

Gwenda Thomas, AM for Neath, said: “I hope anyone who is not already on the Electoral Register will take this opportunity to sign up to the democratic process.”

“The referendum on reforming the powers of the Welsh Assembly is a very important step for Wales. Whatever decision is made the consequences will be felt for many years to come. It is vital that as many people as possible vote on the 3rd March.”

If you are not already registered you can go to the www.aboutmyvote.co.uk website. It will take you through the steps required and generate a form that you can print off and send to your local Electoral Registration Officer.

As well as British nationals, Commonwealth, Irish, and European Union Citizens who are registered to vote in Wales can also vote in the referendum.
