At 12.23 yesterday (Tuesday, February 15,) police were informed by HM Coastguard that a body had been discovered at sea.
The body, which is that of an elderly woman, was brought to shore at Amlwch by the crew of the Lifeboat.
Police attended at the port and the death at this time is not being treated as suspicious. Enquiries are continuing to establish the cause of death.
Formal identification of the deceased is yet to take place.
The matter will be referred to the Coroner for North West Wales.
