A 19-year-old man is in custody having been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and affray following an incident in Queensferry on Tuesday, February 22.
Just after 4.30pm yesterday police were alerted to a man who had climbed on to the roof of a building in Station Road, Queensferry. Police negotiators were called to the scene and a road in the area was closed while officers spoke with the man.
Bricks and tiles were thrown from the roof of the property and damage was caused to roofs and cars below.
Following negotiations, at 9.10pm yesterday the man made his own way to safety off the roof.
A 19-year-old man was arrested and is waiting questioning at Mold police station.
Chief Inspector Mark Hughes said: “The incident concluded safely after the man made his own way off the roof of the building at around 9.10pm.”
“Nobody was hurt during the incident and we would like to thank members of the public for their patience as an area was cordoned off and Station Road was also closed to traffic while the incident was on-going.”
