Cardiff Prepares for Street Parties Fit for a Prince and Princess

Advice and tips on how to hold a street party fit for a Royal Wedding is being given by Cardiff Council to ensure people celebrate the marriage of HRH Prince Williams to Kate Middleton in style.

The information includes advice on whether licenses are needed and how to gain permission for road closures alongside details on public liability insurance. All the information can be found on the Council’s website  www.cardiff.gov.uk/streetparties

The Council would encourage anyone planning a street party to get in touch as soon as possible to discuss their plans. Executive Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Nigel Howells, said: “The wedding of HRH Prince William to Kate Middleton is a huge event for the nation, and we really want people to enjoy the day and celebrate. The Council will do all it can to support street parties and I would encourage everyone to get in touch with Council officers as early as possible to talk through their plans to make sure their event runs smoothly and safely.”
