Love was in the air at Llancaiach Fawr Manor this St David’s Day, as it hosted its first licensed wedding in the Manor House – with a fantastic ‘Welsh’ theme!
The happy couple, Cerys Harte and Peter Garland got married in the picturesque setting of Llancaiach Fawr Manor House’s Great Hall – Cerys looked stunning in a wedding dress made in the Welsh flag, the pageboys’ waistcoats were adorned with the Welsh flag and the celebratory meal even included Welsh lamb.
Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Mayor, Cllr James Fussell and his consort Mrs Catherine Fussell also surprised the couple by presenting the newlyweds with a bottle of champagne to help them celebrate the happy day.
While a number of weddings have previously taken place in the Conservatory and Barn within the Manor’s grounds, this was the first wedding held in the Manor House itself.
