Cardiff Council is asking for people’s views on residents parking in the city. Members of the public have until March 4 to have their say.
Nearly 3000 questionnaires have already been completed with the survey available online at http://surveys.cardiff.gov.uk/residentparking/
The Consultation will help the Council understand the parking needs of the city and asks for views on a range of issues including
- The introduction of a limit to the number of permits issued per household.
- Where people think permit schemes are needed.
- Residents’ thoughts on charging for permits.
- Where people would prefer to pick up and pay for their permit
The Council is working in partnership with the Welsh Assembly Government to improve transport and parking in Cardiff as part of the Sustainable Travel City remit.

Executive Member for Traffic and Transportation, Cllr Delme Bowen, said: “The aim of the survey is to discover what issues affect residents in terms of parking in the city. No two areas of Cardiff will be the same so I would encourage people from across the city to take part and have their say.
”Last summer the Council launched its new Civil Parking Enfocement (CPE) Scheme across the city, with a clear message of don’t be a problem parker. The parking survey will help us see how we can move forward with the resident parking scheme and contiune to tackle the issue of problem parking.”
