Seven organisations are set to benefit from a share of £6,535 recently allocated from the latest round of Denbighshire Community Chest funding.
Community Chest offers grant of up to £1,000 in any 12 month period for activities that encourage more people to become more active, more often and raises the standards of existing activities The scheme is open to any group as long as they hold a bank account in the organisation’s name.
The successful applicants for the funding, made available through Sport Wales, were:
- Llanfwrog Community Association – £1,000 towards purchase of golf equipment
- Denbigh Community Table Tennis Club – £850 towards the purchase of equipment, facility hire and contribution to coaching fees.
- Ocean Beach water Ski Club – £958.90 towards the purchase of watersports equipment
- Ruthin Town Youth Football Club – £1,000 towards coach education
- Ruthin Ultimate Frisbee – £1,000 towards coach education, marketing and facility hire/coaching
- Capel Waengoleugoed – £1,000 towards coaching, marketing and hire of venue
- Meliden Bowling Club – £727 towards marketing, purchase of equipment and coach education.
