WLGA looks forward to working with Assembly in new constitutional context

In response to yesterday’s referendum result, Cllr John Davies (Pembrokeshire) WLGA Leader said:

“The very positive result in the referendum now gives the Assembly full powers over devolved services in Wales and sees the end of the previous system which the WLGA has previously described as “obtuse”. Thus the key issue from hereon is to concentrate on delivering improved service outcomes to the people of Wales.”

“Local Government in Wales looks forward to deepening its strategic relationships with the Welsh government in this new constitutional context and ensuring that communities across Wales are best served by all levels of government.”
