Appeal after Anglesey assault

Police are appealing for information after a 15 year old girl was assaulted by a man on the road from Llanfechell to Cemaes about 4pm on Friday March 18.

DC Steve Watts said that the girl was walking along Ffordd y Felin towards Cemaes Bay when she noticed a man walking towards her on the same side of the road.

She said that the man came up behind her and pulled her to the ground. The victim then hit out at him and managed to run away and raise the alarm.

“The man was described as 5ft 7in, slim build, aged approximately 40 -50 with a very pale complexion. He was unshaven and had a long pronounced chin.

“Fortunately the girl was not injured but we are anxious to speak to anyone who recognises the description of the man or who may have been travelling along this stretch of road at this time and noticed anything unusual.”

DC Watts said that any information would be treated in confidence and urged members of the public to help them catch the offender.

Anyone with information is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 or 0845 6071001 (Welsh) 0845 6071002 (English) alternatively text 66767 or Crimestoppers Wales/Cymru on 0800555111.
