Denbighshire County Council and Wales & West Utilities (WWU) are informing residents and businesses in Ruthin to expect short term road closures around the top of Upper Clwyd Street in the next few days (from Wednesday, 23 March), to allow for essential maintenance works to take place.
The work is expected to be completed by Friday, 25 March, meaning that all works in St Peter’s Square will have been finished.
Wales & West Utilities will then need to go back into Clwyd Street and undertake a connection across the carriageway near to the junction with Upper Clwyd Street, but they will try and carry out this work without having to close the road.
The next stage involves replacing mains and services which sit within the block paved parking area and it could take six weeks to complete the connections down to the bridge. It is hoped that any further road closures will be avoided, but if deemed necessary, they will be for a short period (of up to three days).
Updated information will be published on the Council’s website: www.denbighshire.gov.uk
Denbighshire County Council and Wales & West Utilities would like to thank people for their co-operation and would also apologise for any short term inconvenience caused by these essential works.
