Three classic Welsh videos released in one day

Yesterday saw the release of three videos by independent Welsh film makers. What makes these films stand out from many of the current releases is that they were all made for zero budget by people with no connection to the mainstream subsidised Welsh media.

First, David Garland Jones released his follow-up to his Internet viral hit ‘you ain’t seen Ruthin yet’ with the uncatchy title ’13 Spoof Songs With Welsh Place Names In The Title Vol 1′. David was recently named Welsh Person of the year by Penderyn Whisky.

Next Johan Flapsandwich of Tantrum records released ‘ Gingers Have Souls (Flapsandwich Re-Rub)’, a quirky setting of an already famous Internet video remixed and set to his own unique style of music.

Finally we at Welsh Icons released a ‘sneak preview’ of ‘Another Country’ by Cameron Pyke. This is a very rough cut of a video we are currently working on and features many locations in Cardiff.
