Appeal following fire in Bala

Police in Bala are appealing for witnesses and information following a fire in Bala during the early hours of this morning (Thursday, April 7).

At 2.15am police were alerted to the blaze in the garden of an unoccupied property on Maes Y Bronydd, Bala, by the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service. Police attended and an investigation was conducted between police and the NWF&R Service. Police believe the fire was caused deliberately and are treating the incident as arson.

The scene was cordoned off this morning. Crime Scene Investigators worked at the scene and officers have been in the vicinity conducting house to house inquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding the incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the property on Maes Y Bronydd, Bala during the early hours of this morning to contact PC 458 Chris Thomas or officers in Bala on 101 (if in Wales) 0845 6071001 (Welsh language line) 0845 6071002 (English language line).
