Three people are currently in custody waiting questioning after being arrested on suspicion of a robbery at a property in Bangor during the early hours of this morning (Friday, April 8).
Police received a report at 1.20am of a robbery where two people had forced their way into a property on Edmund Street, Hirael, Bangor, and had stolen electrical goods. Three people are then believed to have fled the scene on bicycles.
The occupant of the property is believed to have been assaulted during the incident, sustaining a head injury which is not believed to be serious. He received hospital treatment for his injury and has since been released.
Police attended and a search of the area was conducted involving the police helicopter.
Three individuals, a 24-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 33 year-old man were arrested a short time later on suspicion of robbery, at two different properties in the Bangor area.
Police investigations are already underway and officers are appealing to anyone who was in the Edmund Street area of Hirael, Bangor, during the early hours of this morning and saw anyone acting suspiciously is asked to contact DS Ynyr Hughes at Bangor CID.
