BBC Cymru Wales provides plenty of opportunity to hear views and opinions of the politicians and public alike this week on TV, radio and online, as the Election Campaign continues into its second week.
There’s no place to hide for the panel of politicians as BBC Cymru Wales broadcasts the first Election 2011 TV debate, from Wrexham, on Monday 11 April. In Election 2011 – The Debates (Monday 11 April, BBC One Wales) a panel of politicians will face questions from the programme’s audience at the William Aston Hall on Glyndwr University Campus, Wrexham, chaired by BBC Cymru Wales’s political editor Betsan Powys.
“I really feel the election campaign has got under way properly when the debate programmes start,” says Betsan Powys, who has the latest on election developments in her blog. “I really enjoy the debates and learn an awful lot, not just from the panel but from the audiences too.”
The BBC Radio Wales Election 2011 Tour also kicks off on Monday (11 April), gathering opinions and providing a stage for people all over Wales to voice their concerns and views on election matters.
During the first week of the tour, Good Morning Wales broadcasts from Welshpool livestock market (Monday), Mold market (Wednesday), and Haverfordwest farmers market (Friday); the Radio Wales Phone-In broadcasts live from Welshpool Indoor Market (Monday), Glyndwr University, Wrexham (Wednesday) and Haverfordwest farmers market (Friday), while Good Evening Wales is at the Owain Glyndwr Centre in Machynlleth (Monday), Prestatyn’s Scala Arts Centre (Wednesday) and Llanelli’s Millennium Coastal Park Discovery Centre (Friday).
