Conwy County Borough Council asked local organisations, councillors, schools and residents for suggestions for a name for this exciting new development.
In total over 30 different ideas were put forward for the Project Board to consider. The preferred three were then presented to the North Wales Housing Board of Management to make the final decision.
The Board agreed that Hafod y Parc, submitted by an Abergele resident, reflected the wonderful location of the new Extra Care Housing by Pentremawr Park.
North Wales Housing Chair Helen White said, “It was clear that many people had given the matter a lot of thought and we were delighted to have such a good range of options”.
Cllr Liz Roberts, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Social Care & Health said: “We’d like to thank everyone that took the time to make suggestions.”
