Update: Disturbance in Colwyn Bay

Police investigating a disturbance in Colwyn Bay are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident and will today be issuing leaflets to residents calling on individuals with information to come forward.

The leaflets will be distributed to areas including the Park Road and Hillside area.

Six people have been arrested in connection with the investigation. All six men arrested have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

On Sunday, April 10, one man sustained injuries to his hands and lacerations to his head which are not life threatening.

A number of weapons were recovered following the incident and are still being examined by forensic experts.

DI Jo Williams said: “A dedicated team of detectives are investigating this incident and are committed to bringing all of the offenders to justice. We are calling on anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the incident to come forward.”

She added: “Officers have been conducting house to house enquiries in the area and our inquiries are continuing. We would like to reassure residents that incidents of this nature are not common.”
