After an early morning call-out yesterday morning, Beaumaris volunteer lifeboat crew were not able to relax and enjoy the sunshine as the inshore lifeboat was requested to launch on two other occasions before the end of the day.
Beaumaris Lifeboat were called out yesterday afternoon at 4:27pm to respond to a boat that had run aground off Caernarfon. The Mastercraft X25 powerboat, which was on its way to Nefyn, had two men in their early 20s on board who informed the crew they were happy to stay with the boat until it refloated with the tide so the Lifeboat returned to the Boathouse.
The crew were called out on service again at 10:49pm last night to an incident involving a power boat that had run out of fuel. The boat which was between Friars Bay and Puffin Island was towed to Beaumaris and the owner brought ashore.
