Gay People to ‘Have Their Say’ in Carmarthen

Following on from the success of similar events last year Stonewall Cymru, Wales’ leading Lesbian Gay and Bisexual charity, are giving the opportunity for LGB people to ‘have their say’ about their experiences in on health and social care, education, community safety, and housing.

This year representatives from public services are being asked to report back outcomes on how they have developed in response to the needs of LGB people.  There will be four events across Wales, the first of these will be hosted by Stonewall Cymru Diversity Champions Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service on June 14th

Andrew White Stonewall Cymru’s Director said: “many Welsh lesbian, gay and bisexual people will have a very different experience of public services, not always positive.  These events are an opportunity for people to have their voices heard directly and for service providers to report to local LGB people on their work.”

He added “we’re pleased to be able to offer this opportunity, and are really looking forward to hearing what people have to say”
