Gwent Police is re-newing its appeal for witnesses following the fatal road traffic collision which resulted in the death of serving Gwent Police officer, Sgt Steve Burt. The collision occurred on Thursday 19th May at approximately 10.50pm.
Sergeant Burt, 53, was one of a group of cyclists riding along the A4042, where he was in collision with a blue Volkswagen Golf car at Llanover. The route the cyclists took that evening started on the B4246 (Govilon), went along Gypsy Lane (Llanfoist) and ended on the A4042 (from Llanellen to Llanover).
