Liverpool Coastguard requested assistance of Flint RNLI Lifeboat at 6.20am, when a man wearing boxer shorts was seen entering the River Dee at Connahs Quay Ski Club slipway.
Before the lifeboat had left the lifeboat station a further call was received that the man had left the river safely, and the alert was cancelled at 6.30am.
Alan Forrester volunteer lifeboat operations manager commented: ‘We had the usual excellent response from our volunteer crew, and if anybody is interested in joining the crew or becoming involved with the fundraising team, we are holding an open evening on Thursday 9th June at 7.30pm when you are invited to “join the crew for a brew” – all are welcome.” For further information please call Alan on 07785593247.
