The all-weather RNLI lifeboat from Rhyl was launched at 7.15pm on Friday 10th June, to assist a sports fishing boat off Prestatyn. The boat, with 2 occupants, had been fishing, but they could not re-start their outboard or auxiliary engines.
The volunteer crew located the boat within 20 minutes of launching, and towed the boat back to Prestatyn beach. A crew member then helped the men beach their boat and recover it on to their trailer. The lifeboat returned to station at 9.25pm.
