Montgomeryshire AM, Russell George, has praised a Powys secondary school for being one of the best in Wales in delivering pupil progress.
Out of 222 high schools in Wales, Llanidloes High School was ranked 15th in a table that measures the progress of pupils between entering and finishing secondary school.
Commenting, Russell George said:
“This is an extremely impressing result and I would like to congratulate the staff and governors.”
“Overall, Powys Schools came out as some of the best performing schools in Wales.”
“We should be very proud of our schools in Powys and time must be taken to evaluate the feedback from the recent consultation before any detailed proposals are made.”
