Denbighshire Council tax collection is simply the best

Denbighshire County Council has the best council tax collection rate in Wales – and that’s official.

In 2010/11 Denbighshire collected 98.2% of its council tax, the second year running for the county to come top of the table of Welsh authorities’ performance.

Councillor Julian Thompson-Hill, Cabinet Lead Member for Finance, said: “Once again we are delighted with these results, as they reflect the tremendous dedication of the team in collecting council tax across the county.

“The team is gaining a strong reputation for its success in collecting council tax and we also need to thank the majority of Denbighshire residents for paying their council tax on time.

Information on paying council tax can be found in Money Matters, the booklet issued by the Council to all households with their council tax bills, or by visiting the Council’s website: www.denbighshire.gov.uk
