A visit to Flint Lifeboat Station in July by students from St Richard Gwyn Catholic High School, inspired three of the students to spend part of their summer holiday raising funds for the RNLI.
Rhianne Sandall, Nia Davies and Georga Pierce decided they would fundraise by walking up local mountain Moel Fammau – not once but seven times.
The cheque for £186 was presented by the girls to Deputy Divisional Inspector of Lifeboats Matt Croft, and deputy Divisional Engineer Mark Crumb.
Thanking the girls for their tremendous effort, Matt Croft praised the girls for taking the initiative to raise funds for the RNLI.
