Michael Jackson did it at top London toyshop Hamleys, royalty – and the Beckhams – wouldn’t do it any other way – it’s the private shopping experience.
Now Swansea shoppers can get a taste of how celebrities beat the crowds thanks to a new venture by The Body Shop.
Their store in the busy Quadrant Centre is offering a special private shopping experience for groups of at least ten people.
They can book for specific times and have the store specially opened for them with extra levels of service provided.
Body Shop store manager Jessica Hamling explained: “We’re one of the first Body Shops to offer this experience which will mean people can have the shop to themselves for an hour.
“It’s like celebrity shopping and you can have the store to yourself for an hour and staff will be able to offer even more personal attention.”
The new venture launches next month and is available on Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm and on Sunday afternoons from 4pm to 5pm.
Quadrant Shopping Centre Manager Alan Wallace said: “It’s always good to see new ideas in shopping and the team at The Body Shop are always very innovative in their approach.
“It’s another way of adding value to what is a very varied retail offer that we have at the Quadrant Centre.”
Jessica added: “It’s completely free and all you need is a minimum of ten people and you can book it so it might be ideal for a local organisation, busy mums from a school who fancy pampering themselves or perhaps a retailer or business wants to offer it to their staff.
“As well as the extra attention with personal shopping advice and the privacy we will also offer our usual service of free makeovers and full skincare consultations.
“If people want help choosing gifts we can give guidance and advice so it should be a lot of fun.”
