It’s an important date for Monmouth on Saturday, 29th October as the town’s market is re-launched outside Shire Hall in Agincourt Court.
Visitors to the town that day can expect fun and colour with street entertainment, face painters, stilt walkers, human statues, balloon twisters, an arts and crafts competition for school children and local musicians providing entertainment. Local produce will be on sale and it’s a great chance to visit many of Monmouth’s other attractions – Shire Hall itself, the Nelson Museum, the ancient bridge, the castle and the regimental museum – as well as the great range of independent shops in the town.
The re-launch, which starts at 9am, will see the return of traders to outside Shire Hall on Saturdays while the more general market continues to operate from the former cattle market car park on Fridays and Saturdays.
Make a date in your diary to visit Monmouth on October 29th for a fun day out. You won’t make a better choice!
