Monmouthshire and Macmillan join forces to provide information on coping with lung cancer

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month and Monmouthshire Libraries, working in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, are hosting drop-in sessions at Abergavenny and Caldicot to provide information to promote a healthy lifestyle and booklets about coping with lung cancer.

Macmillan Cancer Support has formed an alliance with Monmouthshire Libraries to develop a quality information service for people affected by cancer, their friends, family and anyone worried about the risk of cancer.  The local Macmillan Information Coordinator, Erica Sheppard, is based at Abergavenny Library.

Drop-in information sessions will be held at Abergavenny Library on Tuesday 22nd November from 2pm until 4.30pm and Caldicot Library on Wednesday 23rd November, also from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Erica Sheppard will be present to chat about the books and leaflets on wellbeing available in all of Monmouthshire’s libraries.
