Staff at Buckley Library recently said an emotional farewell to their popular caretaker, Llew Jones, who has retired after 17 years service.
Llew started work in the library in July 1994 and has been a valued member of the team ever since.
Pennie Corbett, Acting Principal Librarian, who was also the librarian at Buckley, said:
“Llew has always been a key member of the Buckley team, always pleasant and jovial. He has always kept the library clean, warm and welcoming for the customers and staff. When we have undergone refurbishments, Llew has always had really helpful ideas on how we could manage the impossible!
“We know all our customers will miss his cheerful greetings in the morning when we open and the staff will miss all his kindness and thoughtfulness in supporting the team, as well as maintaining the building.
“We all wish him a very happy retirement.”
