There is just one week left to take advantage of Cardiff Council’s latest fitness promotion which aims to help people stay in shape or get fit in time for the festive season.
The ‘Take the Tum out of Autumn’ scheme was launched last month by Leisure Services and offers new customers one month’s leisure membership absolutely free when they sign up to the Committed Active Card before Wednesday, November 30.
The Active Card is an all inclusive scheme which allows customers comprehensive use of 11 leisure facilities across the city.
Customers will not only receive a month’s free membership worth up to £29, they will also enjoy the benefits of the ‘price for life offer’ by becoming a committed member.
This means customers will pay the same price for their Active Leisure membership for as long as they remain members of the scheme, providing they commit for 12 months.
The Active Card offers great value for money for those wanting to get fit and improve their health and wellbeing, allowing access to 11 council leisure facilities throughout the city which boast amenities such as gyms, swimming pools, fitness classes, racquet sports, athletics and cycling.
Many council leisure facilities have undergone refurbishment recently, transforming centres into light, contemporary environments accessible to all members of the public. With all the very latest exercise equipment available, a team of highly qualified and experienced staff at each site will ensure everyone is given the support they need while they keep fit.
Executive Member for Sport, Leisure and Culture, Cllr Nigel Howells, said: “The season to over-indulge is just around the corner so this fitness promotion comes at a great time.
“The Active Card is a simple way to pay for leisure whilst saving money and by getting one month free it is exceptional value.
“It aims to encourage people to take up an active lifestyle and by becoming a committed member people can get the most for their money regardless of future price increases.
“Cardiff boasts some fantastic leisure and sports facilities which are popular with communities all over the city. We are committed to providing diverse leisure and sport activities to suit everyone.”
