Plans are being drawn up to set out a vision for towns across Denbighshire and the Council is ready to consult on its first draft plan.
Denbighshire County Council are inviting town and community councils, community and voluntary sector groups and residents in most of the county’s main towns (Corwen, Denbigh, Llangollen, Prestatyn, Rhuddlan, Ruthin and St Asaph) to join together to develop town plans.
These will be living documents which will set out the current situation in the towns, the key challenges and opportunities they face over the next decade, a vision for each town which will provide it with a sustainable future and realistic and achievable actions which will help deliver the plans.
Now the Denbigh Town Plan has been published on the Council’s website: www.denbighshire.gov.uk and people are invited to have their say. Hard copies are also available at Denbigh Library.
Councillor David Thomas, Cabinet Lead Member for Regeneration, said: “Over the next few months there will be plenty of opportunities to contribute to the development of the individual plans.
“A key priority for the Council is the need to become closer to its communities and it’s really important that we consult widely and work with communities to put these plans in place.
“We would urge people living and working in Denbigh to have their say on the first draft town plan. This will be a great opportunity for local residents and groups to get involved in shaping the future of their local community”.
