Social care staff at Flintshire County Council have been rewarded for their hard work at an awards ceremony held recently.
The staff from the Community Services Directorate received over 190 awards, including NVQs and professional and vocational certificates.
The ceremony took place at the Holiday Inn, Northop Hall, where over 130 NVQ awards and QCF Diplomas in Care at levels 2, 3 and 4 were presented. Other professional and vocational awards went to social workers, managers, support staff and housing services staff from across the Directorate. Of these, 68 awards were presented to social care staff from Flintshire’s independent and voluntary sector care providers, who achieved their qualifications through the Flintshire Social Care Workforce Development Partnership.
The certificates were presented by Councillor Carol Ellis, Executive Member for Social Services; Clare Budden, Head of Housing; and Jane Berry from Unllais, representing service users.
Also present were Colin Everett, Chief Executive of Flintshire County Council; Neil Ayling, Director of Community Services; and members of the Flintshire Social Care Workforce Development Partnership.
