Tasty food and stirring music were the order of the day as residents of a Wrexham care home were treated to a Christmas carol concert to remember.
Cymau Male Voice Choir popped in to the party at Hilbury House to provide some tuneful singing and there were also solos from youngster Rachel Griffiths, a pupil at Castell Alun School, at hope, while members of the St Joseph’s School Brass Band blew up a storm.
There was a splendid Christmas buffet to enjoy as well and the Mayor and Mayoress of Wrexham, Councillor Ian Roberts and his wife, Hilary, were special guests at the festivities.
The manager of the home, part of the Pendine Park care organisation, Mildred Heyward, said: “It was a lovely evening and the residents really enjoyed it.
“We have a party for them every year as part of our programme of events and the Cymau choir have been coming for nearly ten years while the school have also been involved for a number of years.
“Everyone had a good time and there was tea and coffee and a full buffet and mince pies of course.”
