Next stage of Monmouthshire’s Local Development Plan goes to consultation

Monmouthshire County Council is seeking the views of residents, businesses and local organisations on the next stage of its Local Development Plan (LDP).

During the consultation on the deposit LDP, which ended on 18th November 2011, requests were made for new additional or alternative sites to be included or for sites allocated in the LDP to be deleted or amended.  These requests, known as site representations, are not being promoted for development or protection by the council as currently they represent only the views of the individuals and organisations who have submitted them.

The consultation period for site representations runs from Friday 16th December 2011 until 4.30pm on Friday 3rd February 2012.  The Site Representations register may be viewed at County Hall and the council’s one stop shops and libraries as well as on the council’s website.  A full set of hard copies of the site allocation representations and supporting documents are also available for viewing at County Hall, Cwmbran, during normal office hours.

Comments on site representations may be made by writing to: Development Plans Team, Monmouthshire County Council, PO Box 133, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran, NP44 9BX, completing an online form (this enables you to attach supporting documents if required), downloading and completing a comments form or emailing directly to: [email protected]

All comments will be available for public inspection and can not be treated as confidential.  Those who have made comments at previous stages are requested to quote their Representor Number.

Further information is available from the council’s Development Plans team on 01633 644826 or via email.
