It’s the Year of the Dragon and the Body Shop in Swansea’s busy Quadrant Centre is celebrating with a special event this month.
Chinese New Year begins on Monday, January 23, and the Body Shop at the Quadrant Centre will mark it from Saturday, January 21, for three days.
Store Manager Jessica Hamling said: “The Year of the Dragon brings brings a renewed affinity between the Welsh and the Chinese as the legendary creature holds symbolic importance for both nations.
“With Swansea’s rich history as a sea-faring city, it is especially relevant as 2012 will be the year of the Water Dragon – a combination only celebrated every 60 years.
“To celebrate we’d like to invite everyone to freshen up their skin with us and enter 2012 with a bang and take advantage of our unique skincare service whether you’re in a hurry or have time to take advantage of our makeover service.
“It’s open to everyone and our experts will be happy to give skincare advice and recommendations so you make sure you start the Year of the Dragon with a real glow to your skin.”
