Cardiff Council’s Health Improvement Team have developed a short film to help raise awareness of Norovirus, an infectious disease often experienced during the winter months.
The film provides some useful information on the use of body fluid kits and cleaning and disinfection, which is invaluable in controlling the spread off disease, especially in schools and care homes.
Norovirus, which is highly contagious, causes vomiting and diarrhoea, and is the most common cause of gastroenteritis in the UK, affecting people of all ages.
Deputy Leader of Cardiff Council, Councillor Judith Woodman, said: “We can’t be too careful about limiting the spread of Norovirus. That is why it is so important that we raise awareness and help reduce the risk.”
